Banana-Cocoa Snack

1 ripe banana
Raw cocoa
Cinnamon
Walnuts

Mash banana with a generous helping of raw cocoa and a dash of cinnamon. Stir in walnuts to taste. Eat with spoon. Yum!

Variants:
* With cloves and nutmeg.
* Almond butter instead of cocoa.
* Almond butter in addition to cocoa!

  1. Mmmm, just made this! And, *scarf*!

    Didn't have any raw cocoa powder, so I just used the mix we have in the cupboard. It's pretty straightforward stuff -- sugar + cocoa -- but it did make the mixture a bit sweeter than your version probably is. Oh well, the sweetness does offset the bitter walnuts pretty well, so you can add even more of them.

    Omega-3s, yeah!

  2. Ooo, that would be sweet! This concoction arose from a desire to eat raw cocoa without adding sugar (love the cocoa... didn't think all the sugar was getting to be too healthy!). Good idea about more walnuts, om nom nom nom. I've taken to eating this for breakfast. :)
