Equal parts:
- Bourbon (for a rounder flavor) or rye (for a richer, spicier note)
- Sweet red vermouth
- Campari
Shake everything up in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake, shake, shake. Pour over ice in an old-fashioned glass with a twist of orange peel.
